Referendum on SPLOST 7

AUGUSTA, GA (PR) - Information about the referendum vote (Yes - No) on November 3 to extend local sales tax in Richmond County will be provided October 24, from 1 to 3 PM at the Richmond County Library, 823 Telfair St. 30901. The forum is organized by the League of Women Voters local chapter.

Immigration Agents in Fulton County Jails

ATLANTA, GA (PR) – The Georgia Not1More Deportation Coalition, a statewide coalition of immigrant rights advocates and organizers, today released the details of a proposed agreement between Fulton County and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to place immigration agents in Fulton County jails. The proposal is an expansion of ICE’s “Priority Enforcement Program,” also known as PEP.
