Opposition to Unregulated Abortion

ROME, GA (PR) - The Senate Judiciary Committee will hold a hearing on a bill that would nullify numerous state pro-life laws across the country. The Georgia Life Alliance (GLA) stands opposed to this law that would subject women to unregulated and unsafe abortion practices.

"As an official National Right to Life affiliate, we are committed to standing up for the unborn and fight daily to help protect life," said GLA Executive Director Emily Matson. "That's why we aim to oppose to S.1696, the 'Abortion Without Limits Until Birth' Act."

S.1696 would eliminate laws that protect pain-capable unborn children, sex-selection bans, consent laws, late-term abortions, and waiting periods that are in effect in more than ten states.

GLA calls on all pro-life Georgians to speak out against this bill by calling or writing their US Senators and expressing their opposition to S. 1696.

The Georgia Life Alliance advocates for the vulnerable, the abandoned, and the defenseless: the baby still in her mother's womb, the orphaned child desperate for a safe and loving home, and the woman who finds herself in a desperate situation.

We will work tirelessly to bring attention and healing to the struggles of the unborn and other at-risk groups, endeavoring to help secure life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness for all Georgians.
