Georgia Turning Blue: Not So Fast

ATLANTA, GA (PR) - Leading up to the November mid-term elections, the Georgia Republican Party continues to grow in South Georgia.  On Tuesday, May 13, South Georgia conservatives joined with GAGOP officers and staff in Preston to reorganize the Webster County Republican Party and elect officers to lead, guide, and grow the organization.

"South Georgia Republicans continue to discredit the national narrative that Georgia is turning blue by mobilizing conservatives and reorganizing county parties throughout the region," said GAGOP Chairman John Padgett.  "Our message and movement is strong and the reorganization of Webster County is another step in the right direction for the Georgia Republican Party.

"I am proud of our staff and officers for their leadership and look forward to working with the newly elected officers of the Webster County GOP to grow their organization and enhance the Party's southern stronghold."

The newly formed organization elected Wayne Dillard as Chairman and Treasurer and Phil Addy as Vice-Chairman and Secretary.

Representatives from the GAGOP in attendance were Joseph Brannan, Chairman 2nd Congressional District; Karen Kemp, GA GOP SW Georgia Director; and, Joe Dendy, GA GOP Director of Party Development.

Webster is the eleventh county to be newly organized since Chairman Padgett was elected.
