Augusta, a Bus Without Responsible Driver

AUGUSTA, GA - At this point nobody knows who is responsible for anything or everything in the Richmond County government. When the question of who wrote a letter of compliant, considered by commissioner Marion Williams as a "written lie," there was a smooth dance on the floor of the Commission meeting, and the question was passed to several departments going back to the commissioners without answer.

Then, when a discussion of extra tax to cleaning downtown was put in consideration, commissioner Donnie Smith made the motion of denying it and seconded. The 3 commissioners censured for hiring themselves were laud and strong with no sign of resigning or indictment of any kind against them.

New Orleans is famous for its Mardi Grass and in Augusta we are becoming every year more and more experienced government and seasoned politicians for Master Grass.

City administrator Fred Russell is right when he says there is no money for Augusta Public Transit; the money given to the city to provide the service have to be returned for no compliant.

The irony of all this is that there is enough money to run an efficient public transportation system but Russell and other city powerful interests are making everything in their disposal to fail not only public transportation but other services paid by the taxpayers of Richmond County, such as for trush and utilities.

Who is/are responsible for mistakes made in Augusta government?

The Commission blame the Administrator, the Administrator blame the Commission, the departments heads blame the grant writer, Procurement said is all legal, but the money is gone. Mayor Copenhaver keep asking who can talk about the issue.

The good thing is that the Mayor Master Reception will take place at the Augusta Common, April 8 at 6 pm and the cost to eat all you can is just $1.

Welcome golfers and visitors!

I have a dream: Augusta will be the Second Largest City in Georgia, not in name only.
