Roundtree: Incarceration Isn't Always The Answer



AUGUSTA, GA - "I have watched for the last 19 years as the Sheriff's Office has become disconnected and emotionally detached from the very citizens of this community", said Richard Roundtree during an interview among other things. He is one of the 5 so far running to become the next head of the Richmond County Sheriff Office.

Roundtree serves as Field Operations Supervisor for the Richmond County School System, currently in his 3 years. He has been in Law Enforcement for over 18 years.  His experience includes Extensive Investigation, Interviewing and Interrogation Experience.  The candidate has investigated cases involving murder, rape, robbery, child sexual abuse, and computer crimes involving child exploitation.  Roundtree also played a Supervisory role and or investigated all homicides and child deaths from 2001-2008, according to the information posted in the candidate for Sheriff website.
